Effect of alkali modulus on the compressive strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity of alkali-activated BFS/FS cement

Portland cement, which has been used as an unrivaled binder material since its development become one of major sources greenhouse gas emission. Compared with the conventional alkali-activated materials based on principle activating precursor by means alkali activators have comparable engineering properties and lower CO2 emission during production. In this study, effect modulus compressive strength ultrasonic pulse velocity granulated blast furnace slag/ferrochrome slag-based cement was investigated. Alkali-activated produced from mixture a slag ferrochrome in proportion 80% 20% respectively. Alkali 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 were adopted test. Mortar specimens 0.8 1 had very low after 3 days, while 1.2 gained approximately half their 28-day first three days.
